New fund to support the growth in sporting social enterprise
It is great news to see the announcement from the Scottish Government of the release of funding to directly support quality clubs take the next step towards becoming sustainable community sporting enterprises.
Penny who has been an advocate for trying to gain support for clubs at the early stage in their development of taking on new or existing facilities is delighted to see Social Investment Scotland and the Robertson Trust coming together to administer this fund which will directly be used by clubs to take them from committee tables and wish lists to a stage of quality business planning and design development which will enable them to take their clubs future into their own hands and create long term community impact through sport in their communities.
