Penny took on the challenge of raising £6,500 to help Kari Spence, a North Berwick PE Graduate who had the ambition to buy scrub land for a sports pitch for Faith and Hope Primary School who she has volunteered at for the last 5 years.
The response from PMR’s sporting network for Penny’s appeal was overwhelming and over the last 4 months the money has been raised from generous individuals and companies who have made Kari’s dream for sports facilities for a very deserving and deprived community come true. On the 5th October the community started clearing the land and the pitch will soon be in use.
The next challenge will be to turn the new pitch into synthetic!
