The Seminar was part of PMR’s 20 years in business celebrations focusing on sustainability for club development, held on a Saturday to allow as many volunteers as possible to attend.

The day held at Inch Park Community Sports Club, Edinburgh, was attended by 50 club volunteers, who were either thinking of taking over an existing Council asset or building/expanding their own facilities either pitches or buildings in any way. The Seminar took these delegates on a journey from an early vision through to reality to achieving their clubs dreams of creating a sustainable club in the heart of their community.

The Seminar started with a networking breakfast and continued throughout the day into three themes:

  1. Your Vision – How do you achieve it?
  2. Developing your assets
  3. A sustainable future

The Seminar ended with beers in the bar and tours of the facility.

Delegates have since given positive feedback from the day:

“These events are invaluable for clubs who had a similar vision and desire to make there communities better places to work rest and play”

“A good day covering all aspects of creating stronger clubs together at one time”
