PMR Leisure were invited to submit a proposal to LCDT to undertake a Feasibility Study to take forward their ambition to develop an 18 acre site at Kettilstoun Mains, Linlithgow. The LCDT had over the previous 18 months, following consultation, developed a design concept for the site to include a community hub building, football pitches, athletics and cycling facilities. On commissioning PMR Leisure, the LCDT Board recognised and were open to potential challenges in delivering this project and hoped this first stage of work would give them a firm base from which to move forward.
The resulting work has led to a change in the project now looking to develop over 50 acres of land and work in partnership with West Lothian Leisure, Scottish Cycling, Scottish Athletics and Scottish Canoeing to bring about a unique canal side social enterprise development not only for the community but also the wider region. The work to continues to bring this project to fruition.
