Lets Get Sporty are based in Dumfries & Galloway and aim to provide young people the opportunity to enjoy and learn about sport, whilst being mentored, enabling employability skills when at the same time delivering a much needed localised community activity programme.
Initially they employed PMR Leisure to host a Workshop to help the Directors realise their full potential. The workshop included setting out the vision for LGS, looking at business and financial planning, marketing and PR, staffing requirements, mentoring, funding, business development and new partners. The outcome of the Workshop was to develop an Action Plan for LGS to take the forward for the next 5 years.
Following this Action Plan LGS realised that the needed to restructure how they operated and required to develop strong management and administrations systems to enable them to flourish and support their core belief and ethos to grow and support young people in their region. We continue to support LGS through their operational changes and are delighted they have as a first step in this process been awarded a major grant from the Holywood Trust.
