June saw the long awaited Catto Park designs revealed to the Council Administration and the community of Peterhead. The plans were received with huge delight and although ambitious in there scale and cost the unique development of bringing together community need, sporting need, professional football club need alongside day service provision will be the first in the UK.
The Working Group spoke passionately about why Peterhead deserves to have such quality provision as the largest town in Aberdeenshire and being the one with the least investment in community services in the last 20 years.
The proposal is for the project to be now taken forward through a community company and work with all partners and funders to bring this to fruition.
No one is underestimating the challenge to deliver such a project but there is a determination and belief that this private, public and voluntary sector project can come to fruition in Peterhead.
