The nature of our business brings us into contact with the national agency for sport on a regular basis on behalf of our clients or more directly through appointment to deliver specific projects for sportscotland. In this regard we have:
- Led the development of sportscotland’s Secondary Schools Sports Facilities Design Guidance (2003) for school and community use. This work has set new standards for local authorities when developing school sports facilities. The documents have proven particularly useful for those authorities undertaking commitments under the PPP schools programme. PMR Leisure was also advisers to the Primary School (2004) version of such guidance and the School Playing Fields Planning and Design Guidance (2007).
www.sportscotland.org.uk - Looked at the feasibility of developing a new indoor sports hall at the National Centre, Inverclyde. This involved assesment of the views of a wide range of stakeholders gained through a detailed consultation process.
