Inch Park Community Sports Club
We have been working with Lismore Rugby Football Club for 5 years to help them create a first class multi-sporting site in Inch Park at a projected cost of £1.6 million. The aim of the project is to “Develop and enhance the natural environment of Inch Park to reflect the needs of the whole sporting Community". The development will provide a modern Clubhouse, high quality pitches, landscaped areas and quality park environment for all the Community to enjoy from the recreational user to the top class sports participant.
While Lismore RFC has led the project over the early years they are now working in partnership with South Edinburgh Boys’ Football Club and Edinburgh South Cricket Club in taking forward the new community club and have created Inch Park Community Sports Club (IPCSC) who have now an 80 year land lease to develop the clubhouse and the new club in Inch Park.
Our work with the IPCSC has included:
- Representational work in negotiations with Council officials
- Informing local politicians of the details surrounding the project
- Community consultation
- Business planning and sports development planning
- Grant applications including attracting £450,000 from sportscotland Building for Sport Programme
- Supporting the of new Board in all aspects of its development
- Bringing appropriate legal and landscape expertise to the project
